CDP offers a variety of training to its community partners. Training ranges from 45 minute Quick Bites to two-day boot camps. All are designed to be cost-effective and secure measurable results. Back to Basics is CDP's signature foundational training and is recommended as a precursor to other workshops offered by CDP.

Back to Basics
This is the basic training for CDP's nonprofit partners and recommended as a precursor to CDP's other trainings and workshops. Organizations will learn the six components of organizational development and will be given the tools they need to address each component effectively. This training is highly interactive and requires active participation on the part of each attendee. Organizations are required to commit to action items at the end of training and are offered a certificate upon successful completion of training and action items. Organizations are encouraged to send the Executive Director, 2 or more Board members and 1 or more key staff persons to this training. (Full day training) Register

Forming a 501(c)(3) Non-profit Corporation
This workshop is designed to save you hundreds of dollars in set-up costs by walking you through the process of applying for your own 501(c)(3) incorporation. You will leave this course with a solid understanding of the paperwork required, a step by step procedure to incorporate a new nonprofit, and the general responsibilities of operating a nonprofit organization. This is a hands-on workshop appropriate for individuals interested in forming a new nonprofit organization. Register

Got a project? Need money? Want federal money? This workshop walks participants through the steps of when and how to respond to a federal request for proposal (RFP).
Mastering the Ask
Participants will learn how to close the sale for new donors. Participants will discover how to relate to different personality types when seeking donations from individuals, businesses and grantors and overcoming the fear of the “ask”.
Motivating Underpaid Staff
Workshop participants will be introduced to eight key ways to motivate employees to reduce turnover, improve service and stimulate productivity.
Planning your Next Fundraising Event
Learn how to choose the right event for your organization, set appropriate goals, and organize the event using a timeline, committees and assigned tasks.
Putting your Plan to Paper
Get a step-by-step guide to develop an effective plan for your organization.
